Made a lovely comment on here and somehow managed to swipe off and delete the whole thing. That's what I get for trying to play instead of doing addresses.

Thoughts: Very mixed feelings about resolutions. I find that they are very western (for better or worse) in that they are generally very individual and focused on doing rather than being.

I had a Sunday School teacher in college who - at the start of the school year - had us pray as a class for several weeks, then come together and each list a few things that God was showing us we needed to work on. We'd look at what that characteristic should look like, Biblically, and take some time to address what it should look like in our lives, then go live it for the following week. Back on Sunday, we'd go through as a class and touch on all of them - "Where did God show you He wants you to grow? How did that play out this week? Where did you see yourself growing? Where do you still have room to improve? What verse(s) are you going to reflect on this week?" etc

As we improved in some areas and God brought others to our attention, we would adjust our lists. Taking about this makes me realized that I haven't discipled this well into my people and I'm not sure what form this needs to take.
