Such a foundational reminder amidst these next few weeks (months, years, lifetimes, etc.). Thank you!

Very well written, Brother Young! Thank you for exploring this topic in what felt balanced and thoughtful. I understand what you’re saying, I think, and agree.

I have given much thought to this topic, particularly this year. There are many dimensions to this whole thing. We are in the world but not of it. We have a true citizenship in heaven.

But I also remember a spiritual mentor saying, Don’t be so heavenly minded you aren’t of any earthly good.

Those words weren’t in reference to politics.

I believe the greatest risk is in exalting a human leader over our Lord and Savior. Or putting politics as a priority over our faith.

I have personally felt more engaged in discussions this year. But the reason is this: if we remain silent as our religious freedoms and our own convictions as believers continue to be eroded, we will eventually lose the Constitutional protections and freedom to live out our faith as we do now in this nation.

It’s a paradox, isn’t it? I value sanctity of life, freedom of speech, freedom of worship and religious expression. This includes being free to share my faith and live and speak freely about God’s Word. I want to support Israel’s sovereignty as a nation and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I don’t want to support a government who wishes to strip these rights and freedoms away.

I have lived in China just long enough to understand what’s at stake.

I don’t worship any political leader. But I also cannot support any political party who will ultimately continue to remove freedoms I treasure.

I believe my first allegiance definitely is found to Christ alone. But as I worship Him and live out my life here, I believe in utilizing my freedom of speech while we still have it.

However my Substack is focused on the healing and growth and transformation found in Christ. I intentionally limit my writing on my Substack to only things which uplift and strengthen others. I purposely don’t write about politics here.

God’s Word encourages us to lead quiet lives and work with our hands so we can help others in need. The Old Testament shares many a story of them wanting human leaders and God obliging them but warning them those same leaders would sometimes lead them away from the Lord and His ways.

The word for faith is very interesting. I remember from Greek class thinking about ways it was used. The word for knowing was also fun. The idea of experiential knowledge is one with merit to study, too.

RE: For the most part, I find that Christians will say the object that receives our faith is the one who does the saving. Not necessarily our faith itself.

Harlot Babylon’s democratic Laodicean Church on the Broadway leading to Armageddon, is filled with nominal Christians whose digitally-marked souls (SS#) are happily enslaved and held captive within the Marxist UN Beast’s abominable Socialistic Security System. The holy faith of Christ’s Spirit will not intercourse/fornicate within their degenerate self-willed ‘old wineskin’ hearts. However, like the hypocrite Pharisees, they are self-righteously driven by the carnal-minded Xian faith of their flesh’s un-crucified sin nature. Proudly possessed with Democracy’s anti-theocratic independent spirit, they inherently refuse to take up their daily cross and hatefully crucify their flesh’s unholy Xian faith and sin-enslaved self-willed life. Rather, they violently take up the militant sword to defend Democracy’s licentious liberty proclaimed in Americanism’s sacred Masonic Constitution.

The obedient and holy faith of Christ Jesus always perfectly fulfills His Father’s holy-theocratic will. The obedient and holy faith of Christ’s Spirit indwells the regenerated ’new wineskin’ hearts of the wise virgins in His holy-theocratic Bride. Compelled by the Spirit of Christ’s most holy faith, they joyfully take up their daily cross and crucify their democratic flesh’s reprobate self-willed life and carnal-minded religious faith. In obedience to God’s holy commandment (Revelation 18:4) they repent and come out of Harlot Babylon’s Orwellian Socialistic Security System, that enabled them to buy and sell in the UN Global Village’s cashless e-commerce.

The unholy religious faith of foolish virgins from Christ’s Bride is of the un-crucified carnal-minded flesh. The holy and obedient faith of Christ Jesus powerfully works within the wise virgins of Christ’s holy-theocratic Bride (Ezekiel 36:25-27; Philippians 2:13).

RE: The question is, then, when a person today says, ‘I am saved by my self-righteous flesh’s carnal-minded faith in Jesus,’ what portion of the range of meaning of being born-again by the indwelling Spirit of Jesus Christ’s most holy and obedient ‘faith’ is understood to effect salvation? Are certain portions of the legitimate meaning of being obediently led by the theocratic Spirit of Christ’s holy ‘faith’ being wittingly shaded out by the Angel of Light’s democratic ? In what Spiritual capacity is Jesus being regarded as the Alpha and Omega of eternal living holy ‘faith’? And what carnal minded images surround the flesh’s self-righteous process of salvation through its unholy democratic faith?

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom Democracy’s Socialistically-Secured world order is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Galatians 6:14

Cheers, John~

Thanks for engaging on this post!

The answer depends on who you ask, but for the most part, I find that Christians will say the object that receives our faith is the one who does the saving. Not necessarily our faith itself.

But that is also a more Reformed theological response.

I think I am going to need some definitions to further understand your comment though! On items such as "Democracy's Socialistically-Secured world order" and "Angel of Light's democratic." Thanks.
